December, 2018, Part 6, Political Class Insanity: The Noose Closes A Little Tighter on the Clintons, and A Senator Thinks She Is Smarter Than All of Us

It is another month which means it is again time to review the latest political class insanity from Washington and around the world. Political class insanity takes many forms including the wasting of taxpayer wealth, criminal fraud within government programs, inane and stupid political quotes and actions, the inability to create and implement effective and efficient government programs, stupid and ill performing economic policies and strategies, and other forms of insanity that continue to evolve and surprise and shock us.

Let’s get started:

1) In our previous post we made it clear again that we always felt that Hillary Clinton deserved to be in jail for a wide range of offenses, from using an illegal and easily hacked computer in her home to conduct government business to using her position as Secretary of State to operate an international crime syndicate through the Clinton Foundation. In that post we reviewed how justice might finally get accomplished since a judge adamantly ordered documents be turned over to see if crimes actually were committed.

Her concerns about being held accountable for her crimes got even more serious recently, according to a report by Fox News:

• Congressman Mark Meadows recently announced that numerous whistleblowers have come forward with documents that indicate widespread and illegal corruption when she was Secretary of State.
• This alleged corruption includes misuse of funds and quid-pro-quo promises Clinton made to Foundation donors.
• Meadows is in charge of the House Oversight Subcommittee on government operations.
• His subcommittee is about to hold hearings on these very serious allegations.
• A lot of this information was uncovered by U.S. Attorney John Huber who has been investigating for over a year.
• Although the Foundation denies any wrongdoing, according to the Fox report: “However, The Hill reported Thursday that prosecutors working for Huber recently requested documents from a private investigative firm that also has been looking into the foundation. The firm, MDA Analytics LLC, reportedly has contacted the IRS, the Justice Department and the FBI's Little Rock office with evidence from its own investigation.In addition, The Hill reported that a whistleblower submission filed with the FBI and IRS in August 2017 included internal legal reviews that the Clinton Foundation conducted between 2008 and 2011. Those reviews raised concerns about legal compliance and improper mingling of personal and charity business.”
• Apparently, MDA people met with the Clinton Foundation's CFO Andrew Kessel in late November, 2016.
• Kessel asserted that there was a major problem and it was Bill Clinton “commingling” Foundation funds with his personal expenses.
• Specifically, Bill Clinton "mixes and matches his personal business with that of the foundation. Many people within the foundation have tried to caution him about this but he does not listen, and there really is no talking to him."

As always , innocent until proven guilty. But while there may not yet be fire of guilt, there certainly is a lot of smoke, smoke that will hopefully get cleared away and justice will be done.

2) One major trait of current members of the American political class is that they often hold their own intelligence in high regard while looking at the rest of us with condescending contempt. Which is pretty ridiculous since if they were as smart as they think they are, their track record of never resolving any major issue facing America would certainly look a lot better.

But due the brutal honesty of a sitting U.S. Senator, it has now been proven that they really do think they are smarter than the rest of us:

• Hawaii Senator, Mazie Hirono, recently stated that the reason that Democrats are struggling to connect with ordinary Americans is because Democrats are too darned smart.
• They are so smart and have so many great answers to today’s problems, it is tough for them to communicate their greatness to us.
• She expressed this feeling of superiority at a recent DC conference where she was asked what Democrats could do to increase voter turnout: “I wish I had the answer to that because one of the things that we, Democrats, have a really hard time is connecting to people’s hearts instead of [their heads]. We’re really good at shoving out all the information that touch people here [pointing to her head] but not here [pointing to her heart]. We have a really hard time doing that and one of the reasons, it was told to me at one of our retreats, was that we Democrats know so much. That is true. And we kind of have to tell everyone how smart we are and so we have a tendency to be very left brain.”

Wow! And all this time I thought it was the incompetence and inability of our politicians that never get anything positive accomplished. And all that time it was our fault for being too stupid to understand what they were telling us! Who knew? 

Of course the previous paragraph was all sarcasm. Let’s take a quick trip down stupid lane and prove the Senator so totally wrong, based on stupid things we have seen her peers say and do over the years:

• Remember when Democrat Hank Johnson actually thought the island of Guam could tip over in the middle of the Pacific Ocean if we put too many Navy resources on it?
• Remember when Democrat Sheila Jackson Lee asked if the Mars Rover would be traveling anywhere close to where Neil Armstrong walked on the moon?
• Remember when Democrat Nancy Pelosi said we had to first pass the Obama Care legislation and THEN see what was in it?
• Remember when Democrat Maxine Walters said that 700 billion people would lose health insurance coverage because of Trump?

Senator: would you like to reconsider your statement in light of the above evidence showing how inane and out of touch with reality it is?

That will it for today political class insanity: the ring of justice may finally be closing in on the Clinton family crimes and a U.S. Senator thinks that Democrats are smarter than us, a point easily refuted with reality. More insanity to come.
