December, 2018, Part 7, Political Class Insanity: More Problems for the Clintons, Another Gaffe by Ocasio-Cortez, and Wishing Death On Another Politician's Family

It is another month which means it is again time to review the latest political class insanity from Washington and around the world. Political class insanity takes many forms including the wasting of taxpayer wealth, criminal fraud within government programs, inane and stupid political quotes and actions, the inability to create and implement effective and efficient government programs, stupid and ill performing economic policies and strategies, and other forms of insanity that continue to evolve and surprise and shock us.

Let’s get started:

1) In our last two posts we reviewed the reality that Hillary Clinton's alleged illegal actions may be finally get reviewed enough to see if justice needs to be served. Specifically, a judge has told the government to reopen investigations into her illegal use of a computer server in her home when she was Secretary of State and Congress is looking into whistleblower claims that the Clinton Foundation had a lot of financial shenanigans going on. 

But bad news regarding criminal conduct just keeps on coming for her and her husband:

• According to an article on the Big League Politics website three associates of Bill and Hillary Clinton have been indicted for defrauding the Federal government of $8 billion.
• Specifically, the Justice Department announced: “Three men were charged in an indictment returned Nov. 27 for their roles in a scheme to defraud U.S. Military contracts in Afghanistan, engaging in illegal commerce in Iran, and laundering money internationally. Their conduct was in connection to two multi-million dollar contracts to provide supplies and logistical support to U.S. troops in Afghanistan.”
• One of the indicted men, Abul Huda Farouki, is the CEO of defense contractor FZCO, a company that got the $8 billion Pentagon contract.
• The company was supposed to provide food and equipment to U.S. troops, a contract that was won when Clinton was Secretary of State. 
• Farouki and his wife have a history of donating hundreds of thousands of dollars to Democrats, the Clintons and Obama.

So, the question is: did FZCO get its Pentagon billion dollar contract because it gave a thousands of dollars to people like Hillary Clinton and did Clinton know that the contract was a sham upfront? If so, is she as guilty as Farouki and his two henchmen, assuming that the allegations are true. The Clintons are certainly having a bad month.

2) Speaking of a bad month and the Clintons, they recently embarked on a 13 city speaking tour, a tour that was designed to bash the person she lost the Presidential election to, Donald Trump, and possibly reignite yet another run for the Presidency in 2020. In her first stop up in Toronto, they sold barely 3,000 tickets in an arena that had the capacity to seat 19,000 people. 

That shortfall of ticket sales and interest resulted in the Toronto hosts curtaining off and hiding vast seas of empty seat and and late tickets sales being sold for under ten dollars vs. face prices of hundreds of dollars.

But if this was not bad enough, things got worse in Texas. As ticket sales lagged, the Clinton tour actually went to Groupon in order to try and fill out the Texas venue. You know things are going bad when Groupon is part of your marketing campaign. 

Although lack of interest will not put you into jail, it has to be humiliating to know you are generally worth less than a movie in the local theater and that Groupon is your friend. Hopefully these two politicians will finally just go away, whether it is into silent retirement or somewhere more judicial.

3) As we have pointed out many times in previous posts, political class insanity does not exist solely at the Federal government level. There is plenty of disgusting and useless political class insanity at the state and local government levels, as pointed out by a recent article on the Godfather Politics website in an article by Alicia F. Luke:

• Rather than debate issues like a non-violent adult, Illinois Democrat state government Representative Stephanie Kifowit stated in public that she wanted to inject a “broth of Legionella” bacteria into a Republican colleague’s water supply.
• Nice, let’s kill someone and their family because they have a different view than ours. 
• Specifically, Kifowit stated: “I would like to make him a broth of Legionella and pump it into the water system of his loved one so that they can be infected, they can be mistreated, they can sit and suffer by getting aspirin instead of being properly treated and ultimately die. And we are talking about our nation’s heroes.”
• Fortunately, mature adults spoke up in anger of such violent nonsense with some calling for her resignation for such violent rhetoric.
• Hilariously, Kifowit then said she was making a hypothetical comment, and did not actually wish that harm come to the Republican’s family.

For not wanting harm to come to another human being, she sure picked a sick, violent way to express it. In what universe does wishing death to another human being’s family result in any kind of constructive debate and actions? But that is the state of American politics today, do not get your way and then lash out and in this case, wish death on innocent bystanders.

4) And what would a political class insanity post be without a verbal gaffe from our new favorite inane politician, Alexandria, Ocasio-Cortez. She has become a favorite of our blog since her non-stop verbal statements have run the gamut from being dead wrong, idiotic, and dangerous for liberty. 

She is a big believer of global warming despite the fact that we have proven dozens, if not hundreds, of times in this blog that global warming and the hysteria surrounding it is likely more myth than reality. And yet people like her are so religiously bound to the theory that stupid comments and the ignoring of reality really call into question their ability to think logically. Which results in comments from her like the following, which I have confirmed via the leftist leaning rumor website Snopes to be a true statement: “We need to invent [green, global warming combatting] technology that’s never been invented yet.” 

Huh? If it had already been invented, it would not need to be invented. What am I missing here? Of course, if you invent new technology, it has not been invented yet. You could go crazy trying to understand illogical thinking like this. And to think she will be debating and voting on legislation that affects us all. Be scared, be very scared.

That will do it for today: circular, useless thinking from a soon to be member of Congress, wishing death on a fellow politician’s family, the Clintons reach out to Groupon for help, and more potential Clinton legal headaches and dangers. More insanity to follow.
