January, 2025, Part 8, Political Class Insanity: Biden Becomes the "Vacation President," Biden's Economic Policies Continue To Fail Americans, and A NYC Subway Executive is Clueless

Every month we devote posts to just general political class insanity that is running rampant through the country. The members of the American political class continue to show that they are incapable of efficiently operating any level of government in this country.

Even their best efforts are almost always ineffective at resolving any problem facing Americans. They spend a great amount of time not trying to improve the lives of their citizens but continually ensuring their reelection and enriching themselves, their families, and their friends in the process, all at taxpayer expense.

1)We have made it no secret that we have had very little regard or respect for Joe Biden, given his long history being a sexual predator or creep, an issuer of racist comments and a frequent and obsessive liar. His Presidency has been a total failure, be it as it applies to foreign relations and diplomacy, illegal immigration, economic policies, etc.

  • His failures should not be a surprise given he has spent a very large percentage of his Presidency on vacations and enjoying many days of leisure away from the White House, the government, and the country.

  • The  most recent  overall count is that in just four years, he spent over 500 days away from the White House with most of that time spent at his home or beach house in Delaware, at Camp David or crashing at various billionaire  homes around the world.

  • He spent a whopping 24% of 2024 at the above locations, 89 days in total.

  • This does not include the time he was taking foreign trips.

  • In just the past five months, after he dropped out of the 2024 election cycle, he spent 46 days in Delaware, Camp David, St, Croix, Nantucket, and California.

  • Just in August of 2024 he spent 21 days away from the White House including time he spent at the $37 million mansion owned by Joe Kiani in California.

  • In Nantucket he stayed at David Rubenstein’s $34 million mansion.

Yes, modern communications allows a President to be tied into anything and any event going on. But it appears that he was not away from the White House working on the issues facing Americans and the nation, he was on vacation most of the time. No wonder everything he touched in the past four years usually turned out to be a disaster, too many vacation days may have been a factor.

2)Life in the New York City subway system has not been very nice lately. A rider was recently set on fire by an illegal immigrant degenerate and died from her burns. A 71 year old woman was recently assaulted because she was using the subway to get to church.  Any number of people have been pushed onto the subway tracks. Almost daily there are reports of assaults and robberies.

Crime has gotten so bad that the governor dispatched National Guard troops to patrol the subways and the Guardian Angela, an ant-crime patrol force has been reformed and is also patrolling the subways. Not a pretty situation.

But you would not know this according to a city subway executive.

  • Janno Lieber is the CEO of NYC’s mass transit system.

  • According to him, violent crime in the subway system is imagined and not real, it is just “in people’s heads.

  • Never  mind that subway related felony assaults are reported to be up a whopping 65% since 2019 with 570 incidents reported in 2024, more than one and a half assaults a day on average.

As we have said so many times, the number function of any government entity is to protect the lives and property of the citizens they serve. When a government official like Lieber refuses to accept reality and belittles those citizens that are justifiable scared of the crime on the subways, he has failed to protect the lives and property of the citizens he serves.

3)It is no secret that Biden’s economic policies have been a disaster, spiraling upwards national debt, high inflation, and economic hardships all around. And the latest and last set of inflation data continues his nasty failures:

  • Consumer prices increased more than expected in December, rising .4% on a month over month basis.

  • This brought the annualized consumer inflation rate to 2. 9% which is 45% higher than what is considered healthy for a strong, growing economy.

  • Given that the annualized number was 2.7% in July, the trend is not good.

  • The average price of eggs has gone from $1.67 a dozen in  January, 2021, the month Biden took office, to $4.62 today, a 2.8 times increase.

  • The average price of butter was $3.30 a pound in January, 2021 and is about $4.73 today, a 43% increase.

  • The average 30 year fixed rate mortgage rate was 2.65% in January, 2021 and is 6.42% today, a 2.4 times increase.

  • The average price for a gallon of gas was $2.37 in January, 2021 and is about $3..02 today, a 27%% increase.

  • Note on the gas prices: in January, 2023 the average price of gas was $3.44 a gallon, 45% higher than what it was in January, 2021.

  • Thus, the price has come down but not before Americans spend several years paying far more than what they are paying today which is still 27% higher than  January, 2021.

Yes,  there is no doubt that Biden’s failed economic problems have brought pain and financial hits to Americans’ wallets, the numbers do not lie even if Joe does.

Enough insanity for today: Biden is the officially now the “Vacation President,” a “Weekend At Joe’s” parody, Biden’s economic policies have continued to mangle Americans’ household budgets, and a NYC subway executive is out of touch with reality.
