The Horrors and Destruction that Donald Trump Has Imposed On America...Just Kidding! Part 11

Before we start today’s discussion, let’s review my voting history:

I have never voted for a Republican for President in my life.
Thus, I did not vote for Trump.
I have rarely voted for a Republican for national office in my life.

About 18 months ago, many liberals, Democrats, and millennials were besides themselves with grief and fear because their pre-ordained queen, Hillary Clinton, was not elected President. Instead, Donald Trump was elected, an individual that these same people despised, hated, and feared, an individual they felt would endanger and possibly destroy the country and our democracy. For the past year and a half they fretted, worried and lashed out at anything or anyone that even remotely smelled of Donald Trump.

Given that Trump has been in office for over 18 months, I thought, that as someone who did not vote for him, it would be a good idea to review the horror, trauma, and terrible things that Trump has subjected the country to in just eighteen month’s time. This is obviously a very sarcastic comment when you take an unbiased look at what has happened during the Trump Presidency. - U.S Steel is investing about $300 million in its domestic steel production operations including building a steel coating plant in Ohio and restarting two blast furnaces, creating new, high paying manufacturing jobs.

- Another steel manufacturer, Nucor, is creating hundreds of new jobs by building two new steel mills.

- The Trump administration has placed sanctions on two Myanmar military units and others for violence that has been committed against native Muslims, kind of taking the steam out of Trump’s enemies who accuse him of being a Muslim racist.

- The U.S. economy continues to get stronger and stronger while other major economies around the world are slowing down considerably.

- According to a recent Rasmussen poll, Trump’s approval level among likely voters hit 49% vs. a 41% disapproval level, i.e. more American likely voters approve his performance than disapprove.

- This level is about 5 points higher than Obama’s approval level was at the same time in his Presidency.

- According to a recent Gallup poll, Trump is at his highest approval level since taking office.

- Another Rasmussen poll found that Trump’s current approval rating among African-Americans is 36%, almost double the 19% level it was a year ago.

- Walmart recently announced quarterly financial results which showed the highest year over year growth in ten years with sales rising 4.5%, about double the growth rate that the experts were expecting.

- According to the Commerce Department, sales at restaurants and bars rose 1.3% in July, and the growth in the previous quarter was the highest quarterly growth level on record.

- As the Trump economy has gotten stronger and stronger, over 2.8 million Americans are no longer dependent on food stamps from the Federal government and American taxpayer, with Federal food dependency now under 40 million for the first time in a very long time.

- The unemployment rate in my home state of Florida just hit 3.7%, the lowest it has been since the year 2007.

Another twelve reasons to add to the previous 150 or so reasons why the first year and a half of the Trump Presidency has not wrought disaster on the country.

For those of you that have hated on Trump since day one, and given your obvious gross error in judgment relative to Trump, let me ask that you to do us all a favor by implementing the following changes in your behavior and attitude:

Chill out, tamp down your TDS affliction. No matter how much you hate Trump on a sexist, personal basis, get over it. He is the legally and duly elected President, he will be around for a while so refocus your hatred on more constructive issues and matters. You will live a lot longer if you take your hatred out of your heart and soul and devote it to something positive.
I would really appreciate it if some of you would apologize to the Trump voters you have disrespected in some of the grossest terms possible over the past year. You have called millions of voters racists, ignorant, stupid, Nazis, KKK members, and other horrible names simply because you disagreed with their voting choice. No American should be called such disgusting names simply because they exercised their Constitutional rights to the best of their abilities. Plus, slandering over 60 million Americans is no way to unite the country and get it focused on the real issues facing us all.
More personally, I would like, no I am demanding, an apology from some of you for your slanderous and disgusting name calling because in doing so, you insulted and disrespected my sister, my family members, my friends, and my co-workers who simply voted their conscience. I will defend their right to vote anyway they wanted and will no put up with your childish and vicious venom and bile directed at them, very important people in my life.
And finally, I challenge you to read the following blog post, a post that shows quite clearly that it was hateful people like some of you and your silence during the Obama years that actually caused Trump to be elected. Thus, the people you hate for voting for Trump are actually looking back at you in the mirror:

If you were silent in the dozens of instances listed in this post then you were responsible for the very thing you hate: a Trump Presidency. Or put another way, a so far successful and productive Trump Presidency. Over 160 accomplishments in a little more than a year and a half is not too shabby despite many of you wanting both Trump and the country to fail.

August, 2018, Part 6, Political Class Insanity: Only Cuomo Has Never Been Great....And Never Will Be

It is another month which means it is again time to review the latest political class insanity from Washington and around the world. Political class insanity takes many forms including the wasting of taxpayer wealth, criminal fraud within government programs, inane and stupid political quotes and actions, the inability to create and implement effective and efficient government programs, stupid and ill performing economic policies and strategies, and other forms of insanity that continue to evolve and surprise and shock us.

Let’s get started:

We will make today’s political class insanity post quite simple, basing it on an absolutely stupid, recent quote from current New York state governor, Andrew Cuomo. Speaking at a recent event, Cuomo stated that: “America was never really that great.” Obviously he is afflicted with TDS, Trump Derangement Syndrome, since he is obviously playing off of Trump’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again.”

He immediately began taking serious heat, rebuttal, and anger from across the land since Americans do not take kindly to the trashing of the major, major accomplishments and contributions to humanity this country has had over the past two and a half centuries:

America turned the tide in 1917 and saved the western world from the German invasion forces sweeping through Europe.
American turned the tide in 1941 and saved the world from the Nazis and Japanese empire in World War II.
America reconstructed Europe that had been devastated by the second World War via the Marshall plan.
America showed the world how different cultures, races, and religions from around the world could come to America to live together in peace and prosperity.
America’s military and policies helped prevent communism, a failed societal, freedom, and economic system, from taking over the world.
America created the biggest middle class in the history of mankind, lifting untold millions of people out of poverty and into a life of comfort and security.
America showed the world how to go to the moon and be successful in space.
America invented the Internet that has had enormous positive impacts around the world in so many different ways.
America perfected the mainframe computer, personal computer, and smartphone via American technology companies.
America created and maintains the best and longest running democracy in the history of the world, treating every citizen as an equal member of society regardless of race, wealth, sex, or creed.
From Korea to Bosnia, America provided the manpower and military power to enforce the mandates of the United Nations to protect those that could not protect themselves.
American scientists created many beneficial medicines and vaccines, including the polio and Measles vaccines, which have saved millions and millions of lives around the world.
Americans contribute about $400 billion a year to worthy charities to help those less fortunate in our society.
Regardless of what politicians may claim, racism levels in America are very low relative to other countries around the world and until the Obama administration were steadily improving.

I am sure that I missed out on many, many other contributions that America has made to humanity, all of which makes Cuomo’s statement that much more ridiculous. I am not saying America is perfect. America abused both Africans they used as slaves and Native Americans. Civil rights were suppressed for generations. Gay rights were and are an ongoing battle. America is not perfect, But is by far head shoulders ahead of any other country, culture, or empire that has ever been on Earth.

But as I thought about Cuomo’s comments, I actually started to feel a little sorry for him. I thought how sad it is for a person to go through life always looking at the negatives and not the overwhelming positives this country has brought forth. And then it hit me: from Cuomo’s view, maybe things are not that good since as a Democrat he is looking at what his Democratic Party peers have done, and destroyed, over the years:

Democratic politicians have ruled Detroit for decades, taking it from the third largest city with the highest per capita income into a desolate set of abandoned houses and neighborhoods, a city whose population is well under half its size from just a few decades ago, has given the city the highest violent crime rate in the country, and a city whose former politicians have a good chance of currently being in jail or having already served time for corruption.
Democratic politicians have ruled Chicago for almost always, allowing the southern and western parts of the city to be turned into a battleground of drug gangs and violence that leaves hundreds of innocent Chicago citizens dead and wounded every year with no end in sight.
Those same Chicago Democratic politicians have reduced the city’s bond value to junk status.
Democratic politicians in San Francisco have turned that city into a third world cesspool of human feces, public urination, and drug abuse in the streets while focusing on outlawing drinking straws.
Democratic politicians in Baltimore and St. Louis have turned those cities into the highest murder rate cities in the country.
Democratic politicians who served in the governor’s mansion in Illinois likely have the highest rate of criminal convictions and jail time of any other state’s governors.
Democratic politicians in California, Illinois, and New Jersey have created some of the highest tax rates in the country and yet still have found a way to be in a three way race to bankrupt their states and the schools, services, and pension funds that depend on them.
Democratic politicians have turned Flint, Michigan’s water supply into a third world embarrassment, endangering the lives of the people that have voted for them for decades and have turned the city into the second poorest metro area in the country.
Democratic politicians have driven several California cities (San Bernardino and Stockton) into bankruptcy.
Democratic politicians in Hawaii, New York, and California have managed to attain the top homeless rates in the country within their state’s borders.
Democratic politicians in Los Angeles have created so much poverty that 40% of its citizens make so little income that they qualify for Medicaid.

I could go on, I could have talked about Cleveland, Newark, Trenton, Memphis, and other cities that have been controlled by Democratic politicians for a long time, all to the detrimental of their cities’ citizens. But you get the point: if I was Cuomo and my Democratic peers had turned their government domains into bankrupt, violent, murderous, poor, homeless, and unhealthy hell holes, I might think that America was never great. He would still be grossly wrong and an insult to Americans who actually made America great, prosperous, and safe, often at the cost of their lives, but at least I see his perspective.

I just choose to help make America live up to its ideals, warts and all. The millions and millions of people have been drawn to America’s beacon of freedom and opportunity cannot all be wrong. I trust their judgment over the bitter and depressing view of a childish, negative, and narrow minded TDS afflicted politician.

August, 2018, Part 5, Political Class Insanity: Poop In San Fran, Murder In Georgia, Incompetence at the TSA and More,

Let’s get started:

1) We have often discussed the perpetual question, which is the most inept Federal government organization? The top three candidates are usually the TSA, the Social Security Administration, and the Pentagon for various and often creative failures. This week the TSA takes the honor because of an incident in Seattle:

Apparently an airline employee at the Seattle-Tacoma airport stole an airliner and went for a joy ride around the Seattle area.
Unfortunately, the employee was on a suicide mission and crashed the airliner onto a sparsely populated island in Puget Sound.
Fortunately, the employee was not a terrorist or homicidal maniac since crashing the airliner in downtown Seattle would have been a total disaster.

Which gets us back to the TSA: how is it possible that an unauthorized, non-pilot can walk into a hangar at a major U.S., back out an airliner, and then take off? Who in the world was controlling access to both the plane and the runway? We have given the TSA untold billions and billions of dollars to protect us over the years since 9-11 and yet something like this happens? This week, the TSA is the most inept Federal entity in the country.

2) It is no secret that most politicians can lie at the drop of a hat and can move in and out of hypocrisy as the situation warrants. Such was the case of a Congressional candidate in Georgia:

Kellie Collins recently ran for Congress in that state.
A major part of her campaign was to be a strong anti-gun advocate, wanting to confiscate Americans’ guns.Not only was she not successful in her Congressional bid, she is now under arrest for allegedly murdering her campaign treasurer with….a gun.

As always with American politicians, it is do as I say,not as I do.

3) We have recently and previously discussed the disgusting situation in San Francisco in that the homeless problem is so bad there that the city had to set up a hotline for people to report human feces locations on public streets. The hotline gets dozens of calls every DAY which requires the city to send out personnel to clean up the human poop. A raging political class failure like this situation, turning the streets of a great American city into a third world cesspool.

Well, since those discussion, the situation must have gotten worse since according to the San Francisco Chronicle:

The city has formed a new, formal “poop control” outfit that now does not wait for a call to come regarding human poop on a street, the patrol actively goes around the city looking for it.
According to Public Works director, Mohammed Nuru: "We're trying to be proactive. "We're actually out there looking for it."
And this is not a joke, Landon Breed who was elected the city’s mayor in July told local news outlets that "there's more feces on the sidewalks than I've ever seen growing up here."
The patrol will consist of five city employees who will drive around in a vehicle equipped with a steam cleaner to clean up the public poop messes.
According to Breed: "I've been talking to the Department of Public Works director on a regular basis, and I'm like, 'What are we going to do about the poop?'" He and I talked about coming up with some different solutions. "I just want the city to be clean, and I want to make sure we're providing the resources so that it can be."

Of all the discussions one would expect a city’s officials and politicians to have in this country, would one ever expect it to include an agenda item called,”What are we going to do about the poop on the street?” Would you ever expect the politicians of a great city like San Francisco to be so inept that this type of conversation could even exist? Insane.

4) And finally, some political class insanity from Hollywood. Recently in a special Congressional election in Ohio, Troy Balderson defeated Democrat Danny O’Connor by less than 1% of the vote. Balderson won by about 1700 votes.

But it did not take long before a third tier, nobody Hollywood actress, Alyssa Milano, decided she knew two reasons why the Democrat lost. She blamed 1) Green Party voters who diverted enough votes away from O’Connor and 2) wait for it….the Russians obviously caused the defeat of O’Connor. Yes, the Russians are the cause of EVERY thing that goes wrong with Democrats: “Because of our unwillingness to pass policy that protects our election integrity, I immediately think the Green Party votes tonight are Russian meddling. Why else would anyone cast a protest vote in Ohio when there’s so much at stake?#OH12

My gosh, Putin must wake up every morning and just laugh and laugh at us. A nobody American actress gives the Russians credit for something she has absolutely no proof of. Oh, by the way Miss Milano, the Green Party candidate in this election got less than 1,200 votes, meaning that if you had a head for math, even if every citizen who voted for the Green Party candidate switched to the Democrat, he STILL would have lost, that is simple math.

Oh, and by the way, you have no right to berate any American citizen that exercises their right to vote the way they want to vote, not the way you want them to vote.

That will do it for today: a still inept TSA, still poop in the streets of San Francisco, a gun control politician uses a gun to kill her campaign treasurer, and Hollywood idiocy and elections continue.

August, 2018, Part 4,Political Class Insanity: NYC Politicians Screwing Their Unberites and Lyfters, Chicago Police Still Ineffective, and Voter Fraud In Georgia.

Let’s get started:

1) One thing you never want to do is get in between politicians and those that fund their perpetual reelection campaign coffers. Unfortunately, Uber and Lyft did that in New York City and the results are not good, for both of these companies and the freedom of choice that New York politicians have now denied to their constituents in favor of their financial backers:

The NYC council recently overwhelmingly voted to limit the number of ride sharing consumer options via Uber, Lyft and others within city limits.
The limitations were covered in multiple bills that the mayor is expected to sign.
According to the news source, The Verge: "The council voted to halt the issuance of new for-hire vehicle licenses for 12 months while it studies the booming industry. Under the cap, Uber and Lyft could still be granted licenses for wheelchair-accessible vehicles — which both companies sorely lack — but would be prevented from adding new ride-hail vehicles for one year. The city’s Taxi and Limousine Commission could also issue licenses in particular neighborhoods that are running low on ride-hail vehicles. Another bill that passed would establish a $15 living wage for drivers. The bills now go to the desk of Mayor Bill de Blasio, who has indicated his support for a cap."
In a totally inane statement, the mayor, Bill DeBlasio, tried to convince the world that Uber and Lyft type services were horrifically bad for the city and its residents: "Our city is directly confronting a crisis that is driving working New Yorkers into poverty and our streets into gridlock. The unchecked growth of app-based for-hire vehicle companies has demanded action -— and now we have it."
It is an inane statement because the mayor and council placed no restrictions on taxi drivers, likely because taxi drivers help fund their reelection campaigns, if an Uber driver is bad for the city than an equivalent taxi driver must also be bad for the city.
Since there are no apparent plans to expand and improve bus, subway and train service to help residents get around town easily then those same residents will face rising transportation costs and longer delays in getting transportation.
This was explained by both Uber and Lyft spokespeople: “The city’s 12-month pause on new vehicle licenses will threaten one of the few reliable transportation options while doing nothing to fix the subways or ease congestion,” said Danielle Filson, a spokeswoman for Uber. “Uber will do whatever it takes to keep up with growing demand.”
“These sweeping cuts to transportation will bring New Yorkers back to an era of struggling to get a ride, particularly for communities of color and in the outer boroughs," said Joseph Okpaku, vice president of public policy for Lyft. "We will never stop working to ensure New Yorkers have access to reliable and affordable transportation in every borough."
These are the same shenanigans that the Mayor and his cohorts pulled with Airbnb, another new economy service that made life easier, better and cheaper for ordinary citizens. But since this new marketing offering upset the established political donors of current politicians, they had to be tackled and hamstrung because of typical gutter politics.

As always, politicians take care of themselves first, their financial benefactors second, and somewhere down the line they might help the people they are supposed to be representing.

2) In our last post we talked about how the Chicago political class continues to have no clue how to stop the gang violence and deaths that go on day to day in their city. A few weekends ago over 70 people were shot and eleven died as a result of the gang and gun violence in a single weekend period. This carnage has been going on for years and nothing the local politicians do, or do not do, has worked.

How bad are law enforcement results in the city? According to the Chicago Sun Times:

The Chicago Police Department “has solved far fewer murders over the last several years compared to most other major departments around the country.”
In the year 2016, the department was only able to make arrests or at least identify a suspect in only 26% of the cases it actually investigated.
Since there were almost 800 homicides in the city that year, the police in Chicago basically had no idea who did the murder in about 600 of those incidents.
And while the good news is that that there were “only” 650 murders in 2017, the police made an arrest or at least identified a potential suspect in only 17.5% of those cases, meaning that the police had no idea what happened in over 500 city murders last year.

Oh, by the way, Chicago is a so-called “sanctuary city.”

3) Many of my liberal friends and relatives constantly claim that there is no voter fraud going on in this country, that everything is just fine when it comes to voting integrity. We have constantly disproven that fact in previous posts. For example, back in 2017 we went through this litany of voter fraud incidents:

And nothing has changed since those posts if you are to believe a recent incident that the McClatchy News Service and the Gateway Pundit website reported on:

In the lead up to primary elections in Georgia’s Habersham County’s Mud Creek voting district there were 276 registered voters.
But after the votes were counted in the primary, the Georgia Secretary of State found that 670 ballots were cast in the district, more than double the total number of registered voters.
An investigation is underway.

Either there is a massive misunderstanding of what happened on election day in the Mud Creek district or they have the worst voter fraudsters going, fraudsters that are very bad at math. If you want to steal an election make sure you do not have more votes cast than you have voters. No voter fraud? I do not think so.
