December, 2018, Part 2, Why I Am A Global Warming Doubter and A Believer In Science: Reviewing The Horrible Track Record Of Global Warming Forecasting

Every month we have enough material to return to a continuing theme in this blog, namely that “I am a global warming doubter AND a believer in science.” This became of interest because of people like Al Gore who fanatically and verbosely claimed that you had to be an idiot to not believe in manmade global warming. It has been my life belief that anyone that is that loud and that obnoxious is hiding something, that rather than argue facts and reality it is better to beat down and insult anyone who disagrees.

As we have dove into the whole issue of man made global warming, or its new rebranded title of climate change, we found that Al Gore and people like him were guilty of a number of things:
  • Ignoring science and realities that did not support their opinions and positions.
  • Rather than have an adult conversation about climate, these types of advocates like Gore sank to the level of insulting those who dared look at ALL science by calling them a variety of names including racists, homophobes, terrorists, flat earth believers, and other slanderous names.
  • Continuing to insist that politicians step up their intrusions into our lives with higher taxes, more regulations, and more control on our freedoms and standards of living based on a shaky theory at best.
To see the past posts and the multitude of evidence that we have compiled that showed it is perfectly okay to be a global warming doubter and a believer in science, enter the phrase "global warming doubter” in the search box above or go through the monthly historical post listed on the right side of this page.

Thus, let’s see the latest facts and science that prove you can be a global warming doubter and a believer in science, regardless of what Al Gore proclaim.

1) Looks like today we will focus on predictions made by global warming advocates with the end result no unsurprisingly being how very wrong these predictions ALWAYS are. Let’s start off with some research done by Michael Haverluck of the One News Now website:
  • On December 13, 2008, Al Gore warned the world in a speech in Germany that the North Pole would be devoid of ice in Five years.
  • Specifically, “The entire North ‘polarized’ cap will disappear in five years.”
  • TEN years later, there is still a lot of ice at the North Pole, even in the summer.
  • According to Jim Hoft of the Gateway Pundit website, Gore had actually starting making that prediction at least one year before the Germany speech.
  • Thus, we should be at least five years into an ice free pole.
  • He hedged his bet in 2009 when he added a 75% chance of an ice free North pole within five to seven years: “Some of the models suggest that there is a 75-percent chance that the entire north polar ice cap – during some of the summer months – could be completely ice-free within the next five to seven years.”
  • Obviously that did not happen or even come close to happening.
  • Back in January 2006, a full twelve years ago, Gore predicted that, “Within the next 10 years, the world will reach a point of no return [and] a true planetary emergency [due to global warming].”
  • The article points out that, “However, according to the Danish Meteorological Institute, there has been no trend in Arctic sea ice for the past 12 years.”
Fortunately, we did pass both his ten years and point of no return and it looks like we will survive, no thanks to his alarmist forecasts that were absolutely pitiful in predicting the future.

2) The above article points out that Gore was not just pathetically wrong on his North Pole forecasts. According to the same article, Gore was grossly wrong in eight predictions from his global warming alarmist movie, “An Inconvenient Truth,” as pointed out by a January, 2016 article on The Blaze website:

1- Gore predicted in the movie that sea levels could rise 20 feet higher due to the melting of the South Pole and Greenland ice sheets. But in reality, the South Pole ice sheets is actually INCREASING in ice volume and there has not been an increase or excessive ice melting from Greenland. As far as the sea level rising, not even close to 20 feet. 0 for 1 on predictions.

2- Gore claimed that CO2 would lead to dramatic rises in the Earth’s overall temperature as did most climate forecasts (which also always wrong.) Satellite data shows that the Earth’s temperatures stabilized about 19 years ago despite untold amounts of CO2 being thrown into the air from mankind’s carbon usage. 0 for 2 on predictions.

3- After Hurricane Katrina, global warming alarmists predicted that the fury of Katrina would be the new norm in hurricane ferocity due to global warming. And then we went over a dozen years with very little hurricane activity, the longest drought in hurricane history. 0 for 3 on predictions.

4- Not only were hurricanes supposed to get more frequent and harsher, the same was predicted on tornadoes. However, the number of devastating tornadoes has actually been declining over the past 60 years, especially the past three years, the exact opposite of what global warming advocates predicted. 0 for 4 on predictions.

5- Global warming was supposed to be killing off the polar bear population since it was robbing them of their cold habitation areas. And yet, according to population counts, there are probably more polar bears alive today then when most of us were born. Natives to the northern realms, the government of Nunavut and Inuit hunters, testify that indeed there are a lot more polar beavers wandering around up north. 0 for 5 on predictions.

6- Polar bears were supposed to be getting rarer and rarer because the Arctic ice was melting. And yet, in 2015 the Arctic ice cap saw the largest refreezing in over ten years. 0 for 6 on predictions.

7- Gore predicted that the Sahel area south of the Sahara Desert was supposed to get drier and drier because of global warming. However, according to satellite images, the Sahel is one of the areas on Earth that has gained the most vegetation growth in the world. The theory is that increased amounts of CO2 in the air, which is vital to plant growth, is responsible for more vegetation growth. a good thing. 0 for 7 on predictions.

8- Al Gore and his types have claimed that CO2 is absolute pollution and poison and needs to be contained and reduced by mankind. However, as the Sahel proves and we have discussed many times before in this blog, increases in the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is strongly correlated with higher and higher crop yields and vegetation growth around the world. So much for pollution and poisoning. 0 for 8 on predictions.

As we have said so many times before, and proven again by the eight failed predictions listed above, every major and minor global warming prediction has been miserably wrong at predicting reality. Which is probably why the global warming advocates rebranded their vendetta from “global warming” to “climate change.” They did such a miserable job predicting the effects of global warming, they needed a fresh start of hysteria to promote, the nebulous term “climate change,” which can mean anything they want it to be.

Too much cold weather? Man made climate change! Too much hot weather? Man made climate change! Too many hurricanes? Man made climate change! Too few hurricanes? Man made climate change! And yet, people like Al Gore still try to convince us that they know best, that they are smarter than us in predicting the future of climate even though their track record is abysmal.

Which brings us to the latest prediction of climate gloom and doom that the Federal government recently released. Why should we believe that this prediction is any better, given the horrible track record of climate forecasting? That will be the subject of our discussion over the next few posts.

June, 2017, Part 3, I Am A Global Warming Doubter and A Believer In Science: Believing Bogus Data But Ignoring Reality

Every month we have enough material to return to a continuing theme in this blog, namely that “I am a global warming doubter AND a believer in science.” This became of interest because of people like Al Gore who fanatically and verbosely claimed that you had to be an idiot to not believe in manmade global warming. It has been my life belief that anyone that is that loud and that obnoxious is hiding something, that rather than argue facts and reality it is better to beat down and insult anyone who disagrees

As we have dove into the whole issue of manmade global warming, or its new rebranded title of climate change, we found that Al Gore and people like him were guilty of a number of things:
  • Ignoring science and realities that did not support their opinions and positions.
  • Rather than have an adult conversation about climate, these types of advocates like Gore sank to the level of insulting those who dared look at ALL science by calling them a variety of names including racists, homophobes, terrorists, flat earth believers, and other slanderous names.
  • Continuing to insist that politicians step up their intrusions into our lives with higher taxes, more regulations, and more control of our freedoms and standards of living based on a shaky theory at best.
To see the past posts and the multitude of evidence that we have compiled that showed it is perfectly okay to be a global warming doubter and a believer in science, enter the phrase "global warming doubter” in the search box above or go through the monthly historical posts listed on the right side of this page.

Thus, let’s see the latest facts and science that prove you can be a global warming doubter and a believer in science, regardless of what Al Gore proclaims.

1) We have often talked about the myths of “the science is settled” and “97% of climate scientists” claim mankind is causing massive global warming and climate change. Despite the idiocy of these claims, climate change advocates keep throwing them out without knowing how wrong they are.

Thus, as a community service, let’s start off today’s discussion with a review of how stupid that 97% number is. Kay Francis, writing for the IHave The Truth website on May 29, 2017 did a nice review of how the bogus 97% number was arrived at:
  • The basis of the 97% was a calculation based on a tiny sample of 77n climate scientists.
  • Of all the scientists and climate scientists in the world, this wide misused statistic is based on the opinions of only 77 people.
  • This tiny sample is actually a tiny subsample of a survey that was done back in 2009 by the American Geophysical Union (AGU) that was actually only a brief two question online a survey sent to 10,257 earth scientists by two researchers from the University of Illinois.
  • As a side note not mentioned in the article, it is my recollection that one of the researchers was a masters candidate, i.e. she did not even have a masters degree in the field yet never mind being an experienced Phd scientist.
  • The 3,146 people responded to the survey and then the data was manipulated and cut and hacked down to only 77 respondents, out of which 75 said that mankind was causing significant global warming and climate change.
  • Thus, out of the 10,257 surveys sent out, the conclusion is based on less than .8% of the population mailed and less than 2.6% of the respondents.
  • Larry Bell of Forbes sums up the results nicely: “Then of those [3,146 that actually took the survey], only a small subset, just 77 who had been successful in getting more than half of their papers recently accepted by peer-reviewed climate science journals, were considered in their survey statistic. That “98% all scientists” referred to a laughably puny number of 75 of those 77 who answered “yes.”
Now, do you want to believe 75 people or do you want to believe the 31,000 scientists that have signed on to a resolution since 1998 which stipulates that: “…there is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate.”

As a trained statistician, I kinda freak out when non-statisticians use numbers carelessly like this. We have no idea if the original sample was balanced and representative of the reality of the world and we have no idea if the respondent pool was skewed and whether or not the respondent poll was correctly adjusted, or adjusted at all, to represent the population. But we do know that certain publication criteria was used to get to the tine sample size of 77 and thus, guarantee the answer the researchers wanted.

There is an old statistician saying that goes as follows: “If you torture the data long enough, it will confess to anything.” This is a classic example of data torture, you start with 10,000 people, you get responses from 3,000 people, you then put specific and biased restrictions on who you want to count and you then assume that a tiny, tiny subset of respondents, that you artificially created represents the world. Bad research with bad results, all done under the guise of data torture.

2) For almost twenty years, the Earth’s overall temperature stood still. This long, flat trend created a serious problem for global warming advocates whose dire predictions needed the Earth’s temps to continue to rise steadily over the years in order for their theories and views to be valid.

In desperation, global warming advocates went into overdrive to save their precious theory. They started coming up with hypotheses that all of a sudden the extra heat was being stored deep in the ocean depths or that global warming had simply “paused,” as if it was a marathon runner who stopped to catch his breath. Or more conveniently, they simply ignored the pause in rising temperatures and pretended it did not exist.

But then 2016 came along and it was a very hot year. All of a sudden, global warming advocates were back in full throat and yelling that global warming was back, based on one data point! They were mostly silent when almost twenty years of data points showed a trend of flat temperatures but then burst out when one data point, 2016, experiences hot temperatures.

But as a statistician will tell you, one data point is not a trend. According to an article published in the journal, Science of the Total Environment, in February:
  • Despite the findings in 2016 that the temperatures at the South Pole were warmer than usual, sending global warming advocates into a frenzy, this recent study indicates that the Antarctic Peninsula has actually been cooling over the past three decades.
  • The study also concluded that there has been a “slow-down of glacier recession, a shift to surface mass gains of the peripheral glacier and a thinning of the active layer of permafrost in northern AP islands.” In other words, it is still  cold down south
One data point does not make a trend, around the world or at the south pole. We already know that the higher than usual temps in 2016 were caused by a massive El Nino weather effect in 2016, an effect that been dissipating and with it, the return to cooler temperatures. One data point does not make a trend, despite what Al Gore types and their resultant hysteria claim.

3) One last point for today. In recent Senate hearings, Senator Bernie Sanders showed his ignorance when it comes to misusing statistics when he claimed that: “97 percent of scientists who have written articles for peer-reviewed journals have concluded that climate change is real, it is caused by human activity, and it is already causing devastating problems in our country and around the world.”

Of course, he was referring to the stupid, invalid and bogus survey dissected above where 77 people are considered to be 97% of ALL scientists. Still no cure for stupid...or ignorance.

That will do it for today: basing conclusions on bad data and bad research and ignoring real data from the real world. Sounds about right for your typical global warming/climate change advocate, even those sitting in Congress. More to follow.

December, 2016, Part 3, I Am A Global Warming Doubter and a Believer In Science: The Poles Are Not Melting , Solar Panels are Not Great and More

Thus, let’s see the latest facts and science that prove you can be a global warming doubter and a believer in science, regardless of what Al Gore proclaims:

1) Two days ago we discussed the reality that the latest climate satellite data from NASA shows that if anything, the polar ice sheets could be as much as 5% larger than they were in 1979 when this data began being tracked. This, of course, is completely contrary to global warming theory that says 37 years worth of carbon being released into the atmosphere by mankind should have greatly reduced, if not melted, all of the polar ice caps.

As a followup to that discussion, Michael Bastasch, writing for the Daily Caller website on November 25, 2016, pointed out that:

  • The Antarctic ice sheet is a about the same size it was one hundred years ago.
  • That is the conclusion of researchers that have been reading and analyzing the accounts from a south pole expedition that was led by explorer Ernest Shackleton in 1917 and other early 20th century explorers.
  • Head researcher Jonathan Day and his team concluded that the current Antarctic sea ice “is just 14 per cent smaller than at the highest point of the 1900s and 12 per cent bigger than than the lowest point.”
  • This indicates that the Antarctic ice sheet has gone through cycles of shrinking and growing over the past 100 years despite mankind dumping an unknown amount of carbon into the atmosphere during that period.
  • Also, according to Day: “We know that sea ice in the Antarctic has increased slightly over the past 30 years, since satellite observations began. Scientists have been grappling to understand this trend in the context of global warming, but these new findings suggest it may not be anything new.”
  • The article goes on to point out that a 2015 NASA study showed that Antarctic’s ice sheet actually increased in mass from 1992 to 2008 during the height of the global warming hysteria.
While the shape of the ice sheet may have changed, i.e. there were ice gains in the east that offset ice losses in the west, in total global warming had not reduced the overall ice volume.

So, more evidence that humanity knows very little about how nature works, humanity is even worse at predicting how nature works, and real data analyzed by real scientists shows that manmade global warming, assuming it it is not a myth, may not be anywhere close being as bad as Al Gore types claim it be be.

2) An article on the Defund website on December 12, 2016 reviewed some interesting and surprising data relative to solar panels, the darlings of the global warming advocate crew:

  • A scientific study from Utrecht University, that was published in the science journal Nature, showed that on a long term basis, the use of solar panels actual has a bigger negative impact relative to global warming than a positive impact.
  • The study examined 40 years worth of data and concluded that while more modern versions of solar panels might eventually have a net reduction in carbon emissions, most solar panels actually do not stay in use long enough to attain that net positive impact.
  • The study looked at the entire solar panel production process, not just the endgame where only the clean solar energy that is generated is hyped by global warming advocates.
  • That process included the incremental energy and carbon expended for mining materials that eventually go into the production and transportation of the final solar panel products.
  • In a further hit against solar panels relative to global warming, the study estimated that while the annual carbon emissions in the U.S. have gone about 21% since 2007, only 1% of that decrease was because of the increased use of solar panels while 20% was a result of the country using more natural gas in place of coal, courtesy of fracking.
Another global warming myth busted: while solar panels are certainly a viable alternative energy source, they are not even close to being as clean or beneficial that global warming advocates might want to believe.

3) Michael Bastasch, writing for the Daily Caller News Foundation, reviewed how the Obama administration is spending billions of taxpayer dollars on global warming projects and programs. When reviewing the article highlights below, keep in mind that we have already discussed the reality that when Americans are asked to rank order the most important issues in their lives today, global warming usually ranks behind about two dozen other issues and challenges facing Americans.

Despite the low ranking of importance of global warming, consider some of the expensive shenanigans that the Obama administration has been up to lately:

  • A group of Congressional members have asked the Obama administration for a complete accounting of how much taxpayer money is being spent on global warming programs and projects, as required by a 2015 law.
  • This information was supposed to be given to Congress by last June but so far it has not happened.
  • Back in 2013 the Obama administration told Congress that it had spent $22.2 billion on global warming efforts that included scientific research, international climate assistance and green energy technology subsidies.
  • In 2013, that was about twice as much that was spent on customs and border enforcement efforts.
  • The Congressional Research Service reported back in 2013 that the Federal government had spent an amazing $77 billion over the previous five years.
All of this money being spent, secrets being kept from Congress, all for a man made global warming theory that may or not be true, especially considering that the world’s temperatures have been flat for about the past twenty years.

Imagine how many veterans could have gotten the needed medical care they need and were promised for $77 billion, how many hungry Americans could have been fed for $77 billion, how many homeless Americans could have gotten shelter and job training for $77 billion, and put that in perspective on how little society got back from the Obama administration spending $77 billion chasing a potential myth called global warming.

That will do it for this today’s and this month’s discussion on how it is perfectly sane and rational to be a global warming doubter and a believer in science. Today we showed how some science realities are showing that polar ice activity is not consistent with global warming adovcates’ views that global warming is having catastrophic negative impacts at the poles, that solar panels are not the salvation from CO2 emissions that some Al Gore types claim they are, and that the Obama administration has spent tens of billions of dollars on an issue that has very little importance to Americans. More myth busting next month.

July 2014, I Am A Global Warming Doubter and A Beliver In Science, Update, Part 2

Starting yesterday, we are going to spend a few days going over a continuing theme in this blog, “I am a global warming doubter and a believer in science.” The justification for this series was the fact that I just got fed up being yelled at and called a whole slew of not nice names by people like Al Gore simply because I choose to look at the entire spectrum of global warming, and its rebranded them of climate change, rather than the rantings and ravings of people like Gore that look only at the science that supports their viewpoint and not at all science, both pro and con.

Rather than try to have an adult conversation, people like Al Gore have caused us doubters racists, homophobes, science illiterates, etc. We maintain that if you look at ALL of the climate science, you will see the fallacy and emptiness of Gore-like viewpoints and rantings. To do anything else would not be scientific, it would be scientific heresy.

To view the dozens of posts we have done in the past where we quote famous and credible scientists, cite credible and independent reports, and use logic to show that the global warming scare and climate change mania is probably just that, scare tactics and mania, put the following phrase, “I am a global warming doubter” in the search box above to get a complete list of previous related posts. If you are an Al Gore fan, a dare you to read all of the science put forth in these posts before you commence with the name calling again.

Let’s see what new science evidence has come about since our last update to the theme, I am a global warming doubter and a believer in science.”

1) Let’s follow up on a topic we discussed briefly yesterday, namely that the Antarctic ice cap recently set a record for having the largest size and coverage in the known history of the cap. Does not seem to jive with any global warming or climate change theory that Al Gore has ever spewed forth since measurements began in 1979, namely that ice caps are getting larger.

This record was recently discussed on the website:

A July 29, 2014 article on that website by Harold Ambler cited tracking data and records from the university of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s “the Cryosphere Today. Their data und that in late June, 2014, sea ice surrounding had hit a new all-time record high for real coverage.

The new record anomaly, is 2.074 million square. According to the article, during the past 18 months, global sea ice "has seen its most robust 18-month period of the last 13 years, maintaining, on average, a positive anomaly for an 18-month period for the first time since 2001." Ambler also contends that according to tracking data and research South Pole's temperature has been dropping over the past 40 years. Again, realities that seem to be in conflict with anything al Gore has promised would happen as a result of mankind’s activities.

A graph over time of South Pole ice coverage since 1979 is listed here:

2) Let’s move from the South Pole to the Great Lakes to see how another global warming prediction is also not coming true. The following details were laid out in a June 30, 2014 article in the New York Times by Tom Blumer:
  • According to the Blumer article a recent assertion that was printed at the National Wildlife Federation warned readers, in a section entitled "Threats from Global Warming," that "Lake Erie water levels, already below average, could drop 4-5 feet by the end of this century, significantly altering shoreline habitat."
  • A recent Huffington Post Canada Business article similarly asserted as a result of climate change that "the (Great Lakes) basin has experienced the longest extended period of lower water levels since the U.S. and Canada began tracking levels in 1918."
  • Julie Bosman, also recently writing for the New York Times. reported that: "The International Joint Commission, a group with members from the United States and Canada that advises on water resources, completed a five-year study in April 2013 concluding that water levels in the lakes were likely to drop even farther, in part because of the lack of precipitation in recent years brought on by climate change."
  • These are the theories but what is turning out to be a reality is that according to Blumer, “after reaching historic lows in 2013, water levels in the Great Lakes are now abruptly on the rise, a development that has startled scientists and thrilled just about everybody with a stake in the waterfront, including owners of beach houses, retailers in tourist areas and dockmasters who run marinas on the lakeshore.”
  • Lakes Michigan, Huron and Superior are at least a foot higher than they were a year ago, and they are expected to rise three more inches by the end of the summer.
  • Lake Ontario and Lake Erie are seven to nine inches higher than a year ago.
  • Wow, another premise of global warming and climate change bites the dust in the face of a changing reality. Could it be that the lowering of the lakes over recent years was just part of a natural cycle of weather and climate that has nothing to do with Al Gore and his theories?
  • The Blumer article goes on to quote an American who grew up near Lake Huron and who has memories of the same low Great Lake water level phenomenon when he was a kid, long before global warming or climate change should have been a factor.
So let’s review: in the mid-1970s we were told that a new ice age was imminent and that we had to take immediate action to prevent something that never happened. Then we were told that the earth was warming because of mankind’s actions and that we had to take immediate action to prevent a catastrophe but the earth naturally stopped warming 18 years ago. Then we were told that the water levels in the Great Lakes were dropping and would continue dropping because of global warming and climate change but now the waters are rising despite doing nothing about global warming and climate change.

Are we seeing a pattern here? Panic over nothing while debasing those that are getting a little tired of the Chicken Little behavior and the slander that comes with it.

3) Speaking of slander, the President recently continued that mode of attack on those that doubt global warming but believe in science when speaking at the University of California at Irvine. He called us “radical fringe” despite the proof of doubt we have been publishing from credible and nonpartisan sources over the past few years.

But we probably should expect anything of higher quality of integrity from this President. Rather than sit down and discuss, analyze, compromise, test, etc. He would rather attack those that dare to disagree with him, whether it is on this topic or any other issue.

The CERN Institute in Europe who dispelled the whole global warming theory three years ago is not the radical fringe.

The following story about the gentleman who founded the Weather channel is not the radical fringe.

The dozens, if no hundreds, of other scientists that we have discussed in this series of posts is not the radical fringe.

The Petition Project, which so far has gathered the signatures of 31,487 scientists, found that there is “no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate” is not the radical fringe.

But rather than engage them to come up with a solution that is based on all of the climate science not just the science he wants to believe, the President would rather ridicule and debase those that want to stay true to the scientific method of research and analysis.

Additionally, consider this: we have a political class and Federal government that cannot operate a postal system at a profit, cannot operate a train system at a profit (AMTRAK), cannot stop criminal elements from ripping off over a $100 billions a year from Federal welfare programs, cannot put up a simple and workable website at a reason cost for Obama Care, and fails at just about everything else it is involved in. Do we really think that these same politicians and bureaucrats would be able to fix Mother Nature in a timely, effective and efficient manner? Highly, highly doubtful. If you disagree, than I would classify you as a member of the radical fringe.

4) John Coleman was the founder of the Weather Channel. Thus, he is obviously more qualified to talk about climate than Al Gore, Barack Obama, or any other politician in Washington. It is his learned opinion that global warming and its new cousin climate change are shams and not based on valid scientific analysis and research.

Rather than have me try to explain his reasoning, I refer you to the following video at:

At that site and video he will lay out his feelings and experiences and more amazingly, his passion for a healthy and vibrant earth. You can tell from his speaking that he wants to do the right thing for Mother nature but concludes, based on his experience and education, that what Al Gore et al want to do is not the right course of action.

5) One more quickie for today. We will wrap up this update on the series, “I am a global warming doubter and a believer in science” tomorrow. One of the more persistent fallacies that global warming advocate like Gore and Obama like to throw out goes something like: “97% of climate scientists agree that mankind’s activities are having a negative affect on global warming/climate change.”

Wow, sounds impressive, sounds authoritative. 97% is an overwhelming consensus, it is us doubters that must be wrong. Except for the fact that the 97% estimate is probably a farce and a false number. It has been picked up in the mainstream media so often as a fact and has been spouted long and hard that would want to prove mankind’s impact on climate that many non-doubters accept it as reality.

In order to find out what the truth is, whether the 97% gospel is the reality of the debate today, the Friends of Science did an extensive, and I mean extensive review of the literature and research just to determine if 97% was accurate. Needles to say, they found it to be a wrong number, a public relations manufactured number for he global warming movement. Rther than me try to explaining their detailed analysis and multiple approaches to the question, please reference their paper at:

Let’s call it a day and follow up tomorrow with more global warming/climate change doubts. Today we learned that:
  • The South Pole ice cap recently hit a record size despite what global warming advocates told us to expect.
  • The water levels in all Great Lakes are rising despite what global warming advocates told us to expect.
  • Tens of thousands of real scientists looking at real data have their doubts about manmade global warming/climate change despite what global warming advocates told us to expect.
  • The founder of the Weather Channel is also a global warming doubter.
  • The widespread 97% global warming scientist number is a fallacy despite what global warming advocates told us to expect.
More to follow tomorrow.
